i love this top. it is the perfect garment to wear under a bike jersey, or for layering when you know you might need to strip down as you warm up. it is a great length, hitting at the hips, unlike a lot of other wool tanks or camisoles which are usually way too long to wear as anything other than an undergarment. this one has enough shape and coverage to wear on its own. and as usual smartwool feels great aghainst your skin — soft and not at all itchy.

I brought this top on a 10 day backpacking trip. The weather varied from 20's with snow to 70's with sun. I used this top as a base layer for extra insulation, and as an outer layer on warms days. It performed well in both capacities. I washed it both with a washer and by hand. It dries overnight and is ready to wear again the next day. Not scratchy, comfortable. True to size. I would recommend it. I would consider buying another one, but there's no need until this one wears out. I have also worn it many times on dayhikes. Only conplaint is it is a little on the thin side. Too thin to go without a bra (which is my preference on hot days).
