I used this bag to backpack through SE Asia for a month. It's very waterproof, lightweight and durable. The only complaint would be the lack of support, but since it's a summit pack, it's exactly what I was expecting. If you need a bag to carry essentials that can double as a compression sack, this is worthwhile.
Awesome Bear Bag?, 9/24/2007

I used this bag as an additional food bag as I trekked for 2 weeks through the Sierras. Despite the threat of bears getting my food being very high, I had absolutely no problems. This dry bag worked excellently to keep smells from wafting out. I even ran a little test: I had a couple of granola bars sitting out, and very soon after dark I had a few rodent companions looking for an easy meal. As soon as they arrived I put the food into the DryComp bag, and they could not find it. As a day pack, the DryComp is fairly uncomfortable. I had a difficult time adjusting it (the adjusting straps are non-standard), and the waist belt was basically useless. If filled, it would be too heavy to really use as a backpack. I did not directly test how good a dry bag it is, but it held air overnight while hanging from a tree.
