RIO Brands is part of All-Luminum Products, Inc. All-Luminum Products, Inc. was founded in 1947, with the invention of the portable Folding Table. After serving his country in WW II, the founder returned home to open up a paint and wallpaper store with his brother. Numerous requests came from the paper-hangers to see if there was a type of flat surface that could be carried around and opened up to lay the paper on so that the paste could be applied. This was a necessity for paper-hangers, so the Founder approached a friend who did metal working in his garage. They put their heads together and developed a product that was made out of aluminum because it was lightweight and could be carried around. They made the flat top that could fold in the middle and had the legs fold as well. They put a handle on it for easier toting. This became known as the "Paper Hanger's Table". It was an instant success and they sold over 200 units in the first three months. The Founder hit the road to Chicago and sold to four different buyers at Sears and Roebuck. From then on, he focused on the table manufacturing business. It's been over 53 years and RIO Brands, All-Luminum Products, Inc has grown to be a leading supplier of casual folding furniture.
