January, 1950, the Twin City Knitting Company, Incorporated, was founded by Dewey A. Houston. The Twin City Knitting Company began by producing men's argyle hosiery. These socks were so popular that within two years the Twin City Knitting Company was asked to begin production of stirrup hosiery. Another year later, the Twin City Knitting Company was exclusively in the Sporting Goods Industry. Twin City has expanded their line to include knit socks, knit hats and caps.
